With this walking tour, we embark on a journey through the events that have marked the capital of the Principality of Asturias and have shaped its present.

Our expert guide will welcome us at our establishment in Uría Street: Buendía Store. After the introductions, we will start the walk through the streets of Oviedo, stopping in front of the Basilica of San Juan el Real, located in the heart of the shopping area.

We will see some of the most famous sculptures of the city on our way to the Campoamor Theatre. Next to it, we will find one of the meeting points par excellence for the people of Oviedo: the Plaza de la Escandalera.

From this point, we will begin our introduction to the old part of the city, with its medieval essence. We will see the Historic Building of the University of Oviedo, and continue on to Plaza Porlier.

The golden tone of the stone will be the protagonist from here on, as we stroll through the main streets of the historic centre. A stop, almost obligatory for any visitor, is the Plaza del Fontán, one of the most traditional squares in the city, with a local market of the same name.

After getting to know it, we will go to the Plaza de la Constitución, where we will be able to see the charming Town Hall. Oviedo, as well as having a pre-Romanesque Asturian World Heritage Site, is the second most populated municipality in Asturias.

During our walk, we will talk about the importance of Oviedo in the Asturian panorama as we make our way to the Plaza de Trascorrales. Tradition and local culture will take us to Corrada del Obispo, one of the most special squares in the city.

The church of San Tirso, next to the Cathedral, will be the last monument we see before closing this two-hour walking tour of Oviedo. We will do so in the Plaza de Alfonso II, in front of the Cathedral of San Salvador de Oviedo.
