Palacio Bucarelli, also known as the Palace of the Counts of Santa Coloma, is a jewel of the Seville baroque. It was built by the Bucarelli family from Florence in the 17th century. Seville, was at that time the door of the world, because it had the monopoly of trade coming from overseas, after the discovery of America and the circumnavigation of Magellan. All the goods arrived to Europe, through Seville.
Originally, part of the house was a work area, and was engaged in the business and storage of goods, such as "spices, gold, silver, silks, ceramics…" and the other part was the residential and private part of the family. Very important people have been born in this house over the years: “Viceroys, Governors, Generals, Abbesses, Dean of the Cathedral of Seville, Mayor of the Alhambra of Granada..." And the most authentic and genuine thing is that since its origin, it has belonged to the same family.
Today, the family resides in the palace, and teaches from the outermost courtyards, which give entrance to the Palace, to the living rooms, dining room and master bedroom. It is an authentic and immersive experience.
