This day trip offers a balanced mix of culture and nature. Discover "Chulilla," cross the gorge, swim in the river, and explore the reservoir by kayak.
The picturesque village of "Chulilla," with its fortress towering above the town, is considered the entrance to the gorge of the "Turia" river, which runs through Valencia and flows into the Mediterranean Sea. Once we arrive at our destination, we will first take a 30-minute breakfast break at a local café, where we will go over the day's schedule in detail.

This excursion offers a unique combination of canyon, valley, cliffs, suspension bridges, green vegetation, the Charrco Azul pond, and a reservoir of impressive beauty. On our itinerary, you will get to know the picturesque village with its imposing fortress ruins and stop at "Charrco Azul" at a jetty from where you can get a taste of the hiking trail with its breathtaking gorge. This section of the day trip takes us over two suspension bridges, "Puentes Colgantes," one of which hangs about 15 meters above the river and the other 5 meters.

Passing steep slopes and a lock, the spectacular hike ends at a bridge where the minibus will take us to the "Embalse de Loriguilla" reservoir, which is considered the highlight of the excursion.

Kayaks await you on the shore, which we will use to explore the crystal-clear light blue waters with its river branches and experience the surroundings from a different perspective from the water. After you have familiarized yourself with the equipment (kayak, oars, life jackets, etc.) and received a safety briefing, we will paddle with you along the reservoir, past valleys and forests, which provide the backdrop for more photos, until we arrive at the "Complejo Turistico."

There we will take a break (30 minutes) and share our impressions before the minibus picks us up and takes us directly back to Valencia to the meeting point.

10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Coffee and breakfast break
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Optional: Walk through the old town and fortress ruins
12:00 – 12:30 Optional: descent to the "Charco Azul"
12:30 – 14:30 Hike through the gorge including a 30-minute break at the swimming spot
14:30 – 17:30 Kayak trip including a 30-minute break
17:30 – 18:30 Return trip to Valencia

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
