A private vineyard & winery tour of two organic estates with a detailed explanation from the vineyard to the cellar. You will gain a better understanding of Spanish wine and grape varieties and appreciate how the wine is crafted culminating with a guided tasting of 9-11 wines inc. Cava & maridaje of embutido, cheese, estate olive oil. The tour combines history and architecture with a short visit to old Requena town.

1. A fully guided DO Pago vineyard & bodega visit (organic) detailed professional guiding by Toni Martin WSET/Sommelier qualified & the owners if available on the day. A wine 101 with interesting facts often not explained, from viticulture to wine & Cava making with generous tastings of min. 5 wines inc. Cava Brut Rsva & a range of quality barrel aged red, white & rosado wines with maridaje. I can tailor the wine tasting to suit your tastes. The visit is relaxed with time in vineyard to understand the vine, various types of fermentation vessel, the barrel aging explained & of course an impressive barrel hall, Cava cellar & process (why it´s not Champagne nor Prosecco), visit the owners restored home & antique cellars circa 1850, modern art works and other quirky items ...then enjoy tasting the wines ...a great selection for you!

2. Our 2nd winery is a shorter visit but with interesting surroundings and heritage. We view the barrel hall with tastings 4-5 quality wines, you may choose from a range of wines & Cava plus maridaje to compliment the tastings with views over the vineyards. This is also fully guided by myself Toni Martin and the bodeguero. As our tours are by private appointment we may switch this bodega to another of status, such as Sierra Norte or Murviedro etc to offer you the best tour on the day.

3. Short walkabout tour of historic Requena famous for its 10thC Caves, plaza, castle, gothic churches of the conquest. You may enter a Moors cave, browse artisan shop or buy local DOP Requena Embutido on our tour (subject to opening times).

4. On finishing the tour of Requena we return to Valencia with drop-off at your hotel .

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
