Begin with a comfortable morning pickup and travel along scenic coastal and inland routes. The first stop is in Bentota, where you visit a tropical garden inspired by the world-renowned Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, known for blending architecture seamlessly with nature.

Next, continue to Ahungalla to visit a sea turtle conservation project, where you can learn about marine life protection efforts and see rescued sea turtles cared for by local conservationists.

In Balapitiya, enjoy a peaceful Madu River boat safari, cruising through mangrove forests, small islands, and rich wildlife habitats. This relaxing river experience offers a refreshing break and a closer look at Sri Lanka’s natural beauty.

The journey then takes you to Meetiyagoda, home to Sri Lanka’s famous moonstone mines. Discover how these rare gemstones are traditionally mined and polished, and learn why moonstones from this region are valued around the world.

Later, visit Hikkaduwa, stopping at the Community Tsunami Museum and Tsunami Honganji Viharaya. These important sites share powerful stories of survival and recovery following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

In the afternoon, arrive in Galle and explore the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk along the ancient ramparts, explore colonial-era buildings, charming streets, cafés, and boutiques, and enjoy stunning views of the Indian Ocean.

Before returning, see the iconic stilt fishermen, one of Sri Lanka’s most traditional and photographed fishing methods (subject to weather and tide conditions).

After a full day of discovery, relax on the return journey with drop-off at your hotel.
