Complete the final section of Sri Lanka’s Pekoe Trail on a 7-day guided trek. Journey through villages, paddy fields, tea estates, forests, and waterfalls, ending at Pedro Tea Estate.
Day 1: Arrival – Ella / Hali Ela
Meet your guide at Bandaranaike International Airport and take a scenic transfer via expressway to the hill country (approx. 6 hours). Enjoy leisure time after check-in and an overnight stay in the Ella / Hali Ela area (Bed & Breakfast).
Day 2: Hali Ela – Ettampitiya (Stage 18)
Walk through village roads, paddy fields, and tea trails. Pass Buddhist temples and traditional village homes. Stop at the scenic Dickwella Tea Factory viewpoint. Finish in the bustling town of Ettampitiya. Overnight stay in Ettampitiya.
Day 3: Ettampitiya – Lunuwatte (Stage 19)
Cross the Uma Oya River, a tributary of the Mahaweli. Explore remote tea fields, suspension bridges, and village life. Take in stunning views of the Uma Oya Valley. Enjoy the opportunity to swim in natural river pools (weather permitting). Overnight stay in Lunuwatte.
Day 4: Lunuwatte – Uda Pussellawa (Stage 20)
Walk past lakes, temples, forests, and tea plantations. Visit the legendary Sthripura Caves. Follow ridge-top trails with eucalyptus and pine forests. Finish in the lively town of Uda Pussellawa. Overnight stay in Uda Pussellawa.
Day 5: Uda Pussellawa – Kandapola (Stage 21)
Trek through high-elevation tea estates and vegetable plots. Take in panoramic views of the Uva Basin, Haputale, and Ella Rock. Walk through rainforest sections rich in birdlife. Pass the iconic Heritance Tea Factory Hotel. Overnight stay in Kandapola.
Day 6: Kandapola – Pedro Estate (Stage 22)
Follow scenic tea trails through remote villages. Visit the historic Courtlodge Tea Factory (1890). Take an optional visit to Lover’s Leap Waterfall. Finish at Pedro Tea Estate, the official end of the Pekoe Trail. Overnight stay in the Nuwara Eliya area.
Day 7: Pedro Estate – Airport
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Colombo / Airport. End your tour with a sense of achievement and unforgettable memories.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
