Walk through rolling tea estates, misty valleys, reservoirs, and vibrant plantation towns while discovering the cultural fabric of the hill country—where Hindu kovils, Christian churches, and colonial-era tea factories coexist.

Day 1: Arrival – Hatton

Meet your guide at Bandaranaike International Airport and enjoy a scenic transfer to Hatton. Check in and relax amidst tea-covered hills. Spend the night in Hatton.

Day 2: Watagoda – Kotagala (Stage 6)

Start at Watagoda Railway Station and walk past serene highland lakes and village paths. Cross Talawakelle, the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea industry. Take in panoramic views of rolling valleys and tea estates. Finish in Kotagala and spend the night in Hatton.

Day 3: Kotagala – Norwood (Stage 7)

Pass the iconic Chrysler’s Farm Tea Factory (1870) and enjoy views of Hatton town and Singamalai Lake. Walk along ridges overlooking Castlereigh Reservoir. Encounter tea line rooms, kovils, and churches. End in Norwood and spend the night in Hatton.

Day 4: Norwood – Bogawantalawa (Stage 8)

Trek into the famed Bogawantalawa “Golden Valley of Tea.” Enjoy ridge views toward Adam’s Peak (weather permitting). Walk estate trails past colonial tea factories and experience misty valleys and vibrant tea landscapes. Spend the night in Hatton.

Day 5: Bogawantalawa – Dayagama – Norwood (Stage 9)

Pass Bogawana Tea Factory (1891) and cross the dramatic Jacob’s Ladder mountain pass. Watch as the landscapes shift from tea fields to open grasslands. Walk along forest trails lined with eucalyptus trees. Finish near Dayagama village and spend the night in Norwood.

Day 6: Norwood – Airport

Have breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Colombo or the airport.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
