Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Hiriketiya, Galle, Unawatuna, Mirissa, Weligama, Koggala, Ahangama, Tanglle, Dikwella & Hambantota areas, Travel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to Udawalawe National Park, a haven for wild elephants and other wildlife.

Upon arrival, visit to Elephant Transit Home: Udawalawe Elephant transits home (ETH), also called udawalawe elephant orphanage. The primary purpose of the Elephant Transit Home is to rehabilitate and release isolated baby elephants to the wild. Transit Home is a lively place. Feeding calves milk every three hours is a recurring job 365 days a year.

Thereafter hop into an open-top 4x4 for a thrilling game drive through the park’s forests, marshlands, and plains. Keep your eyes peeled for herds of elephants, often seen with their young, as well as water monitor lizards, water buffalo, deer, and leopards. (3 hour safari)
