IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Sri Lanka is a culturally conservative country and it goes without saying that traditional customs and respect are a very important part of our culture. Both men and women, take off your shoes and hat and cover your shoulders and knees. Also, it is very disrespectful to turn your back on a stupa or statue, so always make sure to face the statues or stupas when taking photos.
