Description

Visit the peaceful Mahameunawa Asapuwa, learn the secrets of Ceylon tea at the Halpewatte Tea Factory, and admire the iconic Nine Arch Bridge. Cool off at the majestic Ravana Falls, Little Adam’s Peak
Begin your day with a hotel pickup from Haputale and set off on a scenic drive through Sri Lanka’s breathtaking hill country. Your first stop is the Mahameunawa Asapuwa Temple, a peaceful Buddhist monastery surrounded by mountain views. Here, take part in an optional meditation program to experience calmness and learn about Buddhist practices.

Next, head to the world-renowned Halpewatte Tea Factory, the largest tea factory in Sri Lanka’s Uva region. During your guided tea lesson, explore the step-by-step process of making Ceylon tea — from plucking the leaves to fermentation, drying, and grading. Choose from different learning options depending on your interest, and even taste freshly brewed tea at the end.

Afterwards, continue to one of Ella’s most iconic landmarks: the Nine Arch Bridge at Demodara. Known as the “Bridge in the Sky,” this colonial-era railway bridge is a stunning architectural wonder hidden among the lush green hills. Walk along the tracks, admire the craftsmanship, and if you’re lucky, watch a train cross the bridge for an unforgettable photo opportunity.

Around midday, enjoy a break for lunch at a local restaurant (meals at your own expense). After refueling, your adventure continues to the majestic Ravana Falls, one of the widest and most famous waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Take in the power of cascading waters and enjoy the cool mist after your journey.

End your tour with a rewarding hike up Little Adam’s Peak, Ella’s most popular short trek. The climb is easy to moderate, taking about 30–45 minutes, and at the top you’ll be greeted with panoramic views of Ella Gap, tea plantations, and distant mountain ranges — a truly breathtaking way to conclude your day.

In the evening, relax on your drive back to Haputale, filled with memories of temples, tea, waterfalls, and mountain peaks.
