As you ride to Kandy/Ella, the train will first pass through a narrow ridge and misty green forests before reaching Ella Rock and several rushing waterfalls. Continue through Haputale to reach the tea villages and plantations in Nanu-Oya.

Continue through luscious fields of tea to cross into Horton Plains, keeping an eye out for deer and rhododendrons. As enter your final stretch, enjoy the views of green rolling hills before pulling into Kandy/Ella (Based on direction of your journey), a bustling city.

We will deliver the tickets to your hotel in Ella or Pick up them near the station from our guide if you are travelling from outside the drop off radius.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
