Description

Embark on a 2-day trekking adventure through the Knuckles Mountain Range. Explore the Duwili Waterfalls Cluster, visit Walpolamulla, and camp in the Waterfall Cave.
Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from Kandy or Dambulla to Atanwala village. From Atanwala, start your trek, covering 14 kilometers through the lush greenery of the Knuckles Mountain Range.

The trail leads you through Malkirigoda Gap to Walpolamulla, the smallest village in South Asia, isolated in the forest without proper roads. Along the way, visit the Dumbara waterfall, Kaludiya Pokuna waterfall, and a stunning natural infinity pool.

Stop for a village-style parcelled lunch at a picturesque spot before continuing to the Waterfall Cave. The cave is an extraordinary location with views of mountains, forests, and waterways. As night falls, enjoy a unique camping experience with the soothing sound of the nearby waterfall, surrounded by natural beauty.

After packing up the campsite and enjoying breakfast at the cave, resume your hike. The return journey includes visits to Duwili waterfall and Sansun Falls, both offering spectacular views. Use a different trail for the return journey for a unique experience.
