Begin your adventure with a 9:00 AM pickup from your Kandy hotel and travel toward the Mahiyanganaya side of the Knuckles range. Your hike starts at Kehelpathdoruwa village, fondly called Little Everest for its steep ridgelines and breathtaking views.
Day 1 focuses on hiking through pine forests and open grasslands toward Kehelpathdoruwa Peak (Little Everest). Camp overnight at a scenic site near Yahangala, surrounded by mountain silhouettes and starlit skies.
Day 2 takes you to the summit of Yahangala, the legendary “Bedrock” mountain. The climb includes a steep scramble, rewarding you with panoramic 360° views across Knuckles, Piduruthalagala, and Mahiyanganaya plains.
