Mirissa and Weligama bay is Two of the safest places in Sri Lanka to learn to surf — a sandy bottom, no exposed rocks, and small, manageable waves that let you focus on technique instead of just surviving the whitewater. This lesson pairs that ideal beginner setting with proper ISA-method coaching, so you're learning correctly from the very first wave.
Your session starts on the beach with a briefing covering board handling, paddling technique, surf etiquette, and the pop-up — the fundamentals that make the difference between flailing and actually riding a wave. From there, you'll head into the shallows with your instructor close by, getting hands-on correction and encouragement wave by wave. Equipment is all included and sized to you, so there's nothing to arrange beforehand.
Suitable for complete beginners and anyone wanting to properly relearn the fundamentals. Kept to small groups so coaching stays personal rather than turning into a crowd lesson.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
