The full extent of Wilpattu National Park is open to visitors, and this is eight times larger than Yala National Park’s Block I, which is where most of Yala’s game drives take place. As such, the chances of encountering masses of jeeps are much less likely.

Get picked up from your hotel and drive to Wilpattu National Park, the largest and one of the oldest national parks in Sri Lanka.

On arrival, enjoy a packed light breakfast and start the drive towards Wilpattu National park, about 5 hour drive to game drive. En-route visit to Munneshwaram Hindu Kovil in Chillaw, One of the most highlighted Hindu Kovil in the country.

12PM Arrive in Wilpattu and enjoy a lunch in a restaurant. Then 1.30pm take an safari jeep to Explore the park's dense, dry woodland and look out for a variety of wildlife, including leopards, sloth bears, spotted deer, wild pigs, and crocodiles. Enjoy the tranquility of the park, where visitor numbers remain low, even in high season.

After your safari, relax on the drive back to your hotel.
