Junibacken is a fairytale house on Djurgården in central Stockholm, where children's books come to life through theatre, playful exhibitions and a magical Story Train. We also have yummy pancakes and Sweden's most well-stocked children's book store.
Junibacken is a children’s cultural centre with books at its heart. Everything we do is based on our ultimate aim: to awaken the desire to read. We want to encourage creativity and imagination – and show the way to the magic between the pages. We do this with exhibitions and theatre performances that are based on works by the Nordic region’s finest authors of children’s books. We are definitely one of the largest producers of children’s theatre in the country, putting on over 1,500 performances per year, and our children’s bookshop is Sweden’s largest.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Junibacken is located at Djurgården in Stockholm, by the water behind the Nordiska Museet and next to the Vasamuseet. The easiest way to get here is by public transport, but there are places to park in the vicinity as well. Our street address is Galärvarvsvägen 8.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
