Exploring Stockholm's magical Old Town via an easy going walking tour in a small group. We will wind our way through the cobble stone streets, narrow alleyways and medieval architecture while sharing stories of the city's origins and colorful, sometimes bloody, history. We will start at one of the Gateways to the Old Town and touch briefly on aspects of modern day Sweden before delving into the heart of Old Town. Stops along the way include the main square, one of the oldest streets in Old Town, a Rune stone, the historic German church, a brief visit to the busy tourist street, a stop by the narrowest street in the city. Visit the former marketplace and financial square, a super special restaurant with a rich history, then a stroll down one of the more unique shopping streets before returning to history at the St. George and the Dragon statue. A famous painting will illustrate the city's medieval birth before we greet the smallest statue in town! Then to the Royal Palace to delve into Sweden's rich royal history of Kings and Queen's. The grand finale of will be an exploration of Sweden's religious history and a stop by the oldest structure in Stockholm, the majestic Stockholm's Cathedral. Tour is lead by a native English speaker with local knowledge but with an international perspective. Tour will end in the Old Town so you can further explore or head to local restaurants or shopping.

Tour will take place in all weather conditions, so please dress for the season. An umbrella or raincoat is always helpful. Streets are cobble stone, but the walking tour is at an easy, casual pace and does not include stairs or steep hills. Main language is English so a good to high level of understanding is recommended. Children 13 and under are free of charge. Tour is refundable within 24 hours of booking. Rescheduling is possible in some circumstances, please contact me directly. Private tours are available. Meet your guide just across from the Brandförsäkringskontor Insurance Agency at the corner of Mint Square and Västerlånggatan. The meeting point is a small square close to the Houses of Parliament. Your guide will wear the activity provider's t-shirt with a Stockholm Tours badge.

Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
