This easy hike will take us from the charming Axalp village to the peaceful Hinterburgseeli lake, where you’ll get to enjoy a traditional Swiss raclette. The walk is light and family-friendly.
First, we’ll pick you up in Interlaken and enjoy a scenic drive along Lake Brienz. The route takes us all the way up to the mountain village of Axalp, where our adventure begins. There are no steep climbs or difficult terrain—just a leisurely stroll through alpine meadows and peaceful mountain paths.
Your local guide will lead the walk, sharing stories about the area’s history and natural beauty. We’ll keep the pace relaxed to ensure everyone feels comfortable and can fully enjoy the surroundings.
When we reach Hinterburgseeli, we’ll set up for a traditional Swiss Raclette experience—melted cheese and bread, served lakeside in a truly beautiful setting. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy some good food, and soak in the serenity of the Alps.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
