Description

Guided tour of the exhibition of the same name
Max Frisch's international breakthrough as a writer came in 1954 with the publication of "Stiller". Despite the continued interest that filmmakers have had in the material ever since, it would take 70 years for a film adaptation of the novel to succeed: in 2025, the film "Stiller" by Zurich director Stefan Haupt was released in cinemas. How did Max Frisch himself feel about film as a medium? Is the identity problem addressed in "Stiller" still relevant today? How do you turn a narrative text into a screenplay? And how does it become a movie? Let yourself be guided through the exhibition "Max Frisch's 'Stiller' – from novel to film."
