Description

Fred Waldvogel's mushrooms as pictures and evidence
How do you collect, document, and preserve the perishable bodies of mushrooms? The tour takes you to the Fungarium, the mycological collection in the basement of the ETH, and takes a look at the legacy of photographer and mushroom expert Fred Waldvogel. The focus is on the mushroom as an aesthetic motif and research object. We'll accompany it from the forest, through the artistic staging in front of the lens, to its resting place in an archive of biodiversity.
