Day 01 Arusha- Tarangire National Park
Distance: 120 km drive: 2 – 3 hrs.

After breakfast, we pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. The drive passes through the town of Arusha so any last-minute purchases can be completed en route. Tarangire National Park is famous for its large population of elephants and giant baobab trees. The park has recorded 6,000 elephants, 2,500 wildebeest, and 3,000 zebras.
Huge numbers of ungulates are roaming around the Tarangire Lake Manyara ecosystem. The Tarangire River and Lake Borunga dams are permanent water sources throughout the park, serving a large population of wildlife, especially during the dry season. You may see lions, leopard hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and the three rare species of kudu, oryx and graybuck. The park is rich in birdlife, with more than 400 bird species recorded, including ostriches, herons, hybrid corries, secretary birds, and many aquatic birds. Parking lunches will be served in the park.
Then drive to Migombani Campsite near Lake Manyara to spend the night. All meals included.

Day 2 Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, set off for Ngorongoro Crater, descending more than 600 meters into the crater floor where game drivers await. The Ngorongoro Crater is considered by many to be the eighth wonder of the world. Supported by an annual supply of water and fodder from the highlands, the crater supports an abundance of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, buffalo, eland, zebra, warthogs, hippopotamus, African elephants, and the rare black rhinoceros.
Another interesting aspect of this wildlife sanctuary is the large number of carnivores such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and the ever-mysterious leopard that requires a trained eye to spot. During your trip, you will visit Lake Magadi, an alkaline lake in the southwest corner that attracts large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. Drive back to Arusha in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight or transfer to the airport. (Accommodation in Arusha can be arranged upon request and at an additional cost).
The journey is over.
