Arusha: Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Kilimanjaro 5-Day Safari

Embark on a 5-day safari from Arusha. Explore Serengeti and Ngorongoro, hike Kilimanjaro's Marangu route, and spot wildlife in Tarangire with budget camping.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. Meet your guide and fellow travelers before heading to Tarangire National Park, famous for its diverse landscape and abundance of ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, and more. After lunch, continue exploring before heading to your campsite for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the heart of wild Africa—the Serengeti National Park—with its endless plains. Head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, go on an early game drive to see a lot of animals until the afternoon, when you will head to camp for lunch and packing up. While doing a game drive, exit the Serengeti heading to Simba campsite (a 2-hour drive) and near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 4: Ngorongoro to Arusha

After an early breakfast, proceed directly to the crater floor for a crater tour, with a packed picnic lunch included. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the prime destinations in the world. It’s the best place to spot the endangered black rhinoceros, a meal close to the hippo pool which offers a great view of the lake and a large number of hippos enjoying the cool water of the pool. Afterwards, proceed to Arusha for drop-off at the Budget Lodge at Jevas Hotel.

Day 5: Mount Kilimanjaro

Begin your day with a hotel pickup in Arusha and drive to Marangu Gate for registration. Trek through the lower altitude of Mount Kilimanjaro, taking your picnic lunch en route to Mandara Hut. Once at Mandara Hut, rest for approximately 30 to 45 minutes before beginning your slow descent back to the Main Gate. Your driver will be waiting for you to drive you back to the airport with relaxing music to take away the fatigue.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
