During this 6-day camping safari in Tanzania, you will visit the three most famous areas of the Northern Circuit: the Lake Manyara National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park.
Day 1 - Lake Manyara National Park

In the morning you will make your way to the Lake Manyara National Park. This small park stretches along the 600 m high Rift Valley Escarpment and is dominated by the shallow and alkaline Lake Manyara. It is here where thousands of flamingos seem to colour the shallow waters pink. Many water birds gather at the lake and more than 400 bird species are found in the park. From the open-roofed safari vehicle you will appreciate the diverse vegetation that provides a habitat for many animals including monkeys in the forest, giraffes and antelopes on the grasslands and elephants amongst acacia trees. If you are very lucky you might also see the Manyara lions lounging in the trees. In the late afternoon, you will leave the park and head to Mto wa Mbu, where you will spend the night on a campsite.

Day 2 - Serengeti National Park

Exploring the vast, diverse landscapes of Serengeti National Park on this day of your Tanzania camping safari promises an incredible experience. From the plains to the kopjes, the plethora of habitats offers ample opportunities to observe predators like lions in their natural environment. Witnessing the famous animal migration, determined by the seasonal rains, adds an element of wonder to the adventure. With an experienced guide leading the way, your night at the campsite in central Serengeti is sure to be filled with thrilling wildlife encounters and unforgettable memories.

Day 3 - Serengeti National Park

This day involves an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, where you can witness the interactions between wildebeests, zebras, and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. After breakfast, the journey continues towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area to reach the crater rim in the afternoon, offering breathtaking views of the collapsed volcano. Spending the night on the crater's edge allows for mesmerizing sunset views over the crater, completing a day filled with wildlife sightings and natural wonders.

Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater

This day of the safari adventure takes us on a drive into Ngorongoro Crater, where the landscape shifts from forests to savannahs. The excitement of potentially spotting the "Big Five" and other wildlife like warthogs and zebras makes for an unforgettable morning of game viewing. The day concludes with a picnic lunch before departing the crater and returning to Arusha by early evening.
