9 Days Tanzania Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi – Materuni Waterfall & Coffee Tour
Arrive in Moshi and transfer to Materuni Village at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a scenic hike to the stunning Materuni Waterfall and take a dip in its refreshing waters. Later, experience an authentic coffee-making tour with the Chagga people before heading back to Moshi for overnight stay.

Day 2: Chemka Hot Spring – Lake Natron
After breakfast, head to the natural Chemka Hot Springs, a hidden oasis where you can swim in warm, turquoise waters. Continue your journey to Lake Natron, a wild and remote landscape famous for flamingos and views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the "Mountain of God." Overnight stay near Lake Natron.

Day 3: Lake Natron – Northern Serengeti
Take a short morning walk around Lake Natron to see flamingos and unique volcanic scenery. Drive through Maasai land into the Northern Serengeti, home to dramatic landscapes and wildlife-rich plains. Depending on the season, witness the wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River. Overnight in Northern Serengeti.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive – Northern Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the northern plains of the Serengeti. Search for big cats, elephants, giraffes, and if lucky, a river crossing of wildebeest and zebras. Picnic lunch in the bush and evening sundowner at camp. Overnight in Northern Serengeti.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti
Enjoy a morning game drive as you journey south into the Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley), known as the heart of the park. This area is famous for abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and countless grazing animals. Evening game drive before overnight stay in Central Serengeti.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti. Then travel across the plains toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Maasai villages along the way. Arrive at the crater rim in time for sunset. Overnight stay near Ngorongoro.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe & Datoga)
Descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Spot the Big Five, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Later, proceed to Lake Eyasi, where you’ll meet the Hadzabe bushmen for a hunting experience and learn traditional iron-smelting skills from the Datoga tribe. Overnight at Lake Eyasi.

Day 8: Lake Eyasi – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Spend the afternoon on a game drive watching elephants, lions, wildebeest, and colorful birdlife. Overnight inside or near Tarangire.

Day 9: Tarangire – Arusha/Moshi (Departure)
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Tarangire. After lunch, drive back to Arusha or Moshi for your onward flight or hotel drop-off, marking the end of your unforgettable 9-day safari.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
