6 Days Tanzania Safari will offer you a chance to discover the secrets of Tanzania safaris whilst exploring the base of worlds' know mountain "Kilimanjaro". Your time in Tanzania will tell you why!
Day 1: Kilimanjaro National park day hike
It's only an hour away, but the scenery will capture you - coffee and banana fields, past charming Marangu hamlet, with Kilimanjaro rising magnificently before you. We'll register you at the Marangu Gate (we don't want you to go lost!) Your adventure will soon begin. The ridged route is first narrow as it winds through the rainforest. It's lush and gloomy, with moss adorning the trees. The canopy above is alive with songs and weird rustlings - might it be a colobus? Mongoose may scurry ahead of you.

Day 2: Materuni waterfalls
Drive from Moshi up the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro to the village of Materuni, This is market garden territory and has the perfect mixture of climate and soil to produce some of the best coffee in Africa. You’ll visit a coffee farm and learn about how coffee is grown, harvested and processed, and you’ll try your hand at roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee the Chagga way.You will en route to the Materuni Falls. You’ll pass through banana and coffee plantations, up and down mini-valleys, across ridges and through narrow splashing rivulets. Along the way your guide will teach you about local plants and how they are used for food and traditional medicine, as well as giving you more insight into the local Chagga culture.

Day 3: Arusha National Park
drive to Arusha National Park. Once you arrive, you’ll stretch your legs on an out-of-this-world walking safari, accompanied by a ranger who will guide you through rainforest up to a sparkling waterfall where you’ll be able to spot black and white colobus monkeys going about their day. After a tasty lunch you’ll hop in the Land Cruiser for a game drive that will take you through a wider scope of the park, including the Lakes of Momella and the Ngurduto Crater, and you’ll most likely spot buffalo, waterbuck, giraffe, warthogs, zebra and gazelle as well as a host of different bird species. If you’re lucky you’ll catch a glimpse of the shy leopard or elephant.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park
Today we set out early, collecting you from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and heading south to stunning Tarangire National Park. We arrive at picnic for lunch by noon, in time for a pleasant lunch. Your game-drive will reveal all the wonders of Tarangire, a National Park often referred to as the ‘Elephant Playground’. Herds of up to 300 of these mighty mammals are sometimes seen in the park.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
there’s the volcanic caldera (the world’s largest), full of grassland, forest and swamp, a setting of jaw-dropping beauty. Secondly, the permanent water of the crater floor supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large mammals. Here you’ll find many of the reasons you chose to come on safari: elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, wallowing hippo, waterbuck, baboons… even the rare black rhino finds shelter here.

Day 6: Drive back to the airport for flight home/Zanzibar or to your preferred hotel in Arusha.
