Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Zaramo Tribe
Start your tour in Dar es Salaam. Meet the Zaramo community, one of the oldest tribes along the coast. You learn about their fishing life, local food like cassava and coconut dishes, and simple wood crafts. You also learn about their community leaders before independence and how the tribe lived close to the Indian Ocean.
Day 2: Travel to Morogoro – Mang’ati Tribe (Near Mikumi)
Drive to Morogoro region. Visit the Mang’ati people known for their strong culture and cattle life. You enjoy a village walk, see traditional houses, learn about their clothes with beads, and listen to stories from elders. If time allows, you see the farming areas at the edge of Mikumi.
Day 3: Dodoma – Gogo Tribe
Drive to Dodoma. Visit a Gogo village. The Gogo community is famous for drums, dance, and history of dry-land farming. Elders will tell old stories about chiefs before independence and how people lived with cattle and goats. You will taste simple local meals like ugali and mlenda.
Day 4: Singida – Nyeramba & Nyaturu Tribes
Arrive in Singida region. Visit two tribes: Nyeramba and Nyaturu. These groups are well known for farming, weaving mats, and community dances. You join a short walk to see their farms and learn how they store grain during dry seasons. The guide explains about the old chief system and how villages were managed.
Day 5: Tabora – Nyamwezi Tribe
Continue to Tabora, home of the Nyamwezi. This tribe has a long history linked with early caravan routes and old kings before independence. Visit a cultural center, see their drums, food preparation, and old stories about migration and trade.
Day 6: Shinyanga – Sukuma Tribe
Travel to Shinyanga. Visit the Sukuma people, one of the largest tribes in Tanzania. See traditional dances, learn about cattle keeping, farming, and their way of storytelling.
Day 7: Simiyu – Visit Gamboshi Cultural Site
Visit the community around Gamboshi, known in local stories for traditional beliefs and old spiritual practices. You will enter only approved public cultural areas used for learning history.his tour is focused on culture, education, and storytelling only, not on supernatural activities.
Day 8: Kigoma – Waha Tribe
Travel to Kigoma by road. Visit the Waha people known for farming, palm oil, and strong community dances. Learn about their leaders before independence and enjoy a village walk.
Day 9: Kagera – Haya Tribe
Drive or fly to Kagera. Visit the Haya people, known for banana farms, coffee traditions, and iron-working history. You learn about their kings (Bakama) before independence and visit local homesteads.
Day 10: Flight or Long Bus to Kilimanjaro – Kahe Tribe
Here you see traditional dances and learn about old stories of Chagga chiefs, German colonial history, and how some communities protected metal, tools, and cultural treasures in the mountains. Your tour ends in Moshi with a view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
