Dar es Salaam: 3-Day Nyerere National Park Safari

Embark on a 3-day safari from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park. Enjoy a boat safari, fishing on the Rufiji River, a game drive, and a visit to a Maasai village.
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel, airport, or ferry in Dar es Salaam. After a safari briefing, drive south to Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat safari and fishing trip on the Rufiji River. Try your hand at catching tiger fish and catfish, which can weigh between 15 to 40 kilograms. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Selous Mloka Safaris Lodge.

On the second day, set out on a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park. With packed lunch boxes in tow, explore the park’s diverse landscapes and wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot chosen by your guide. After lunch, continue your game drive until the evening. Return to Mloka Lodge for dinner and another overnight stay.

On the final day, visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditional way of life. After the village visit, return to your lodge for breakfast. Then, drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch boxes. Upon arrival, be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or at your hotel/ferry to Zanzibar or Mafia Island.
