The desert as we dream of it, an experience of wholeness and the immensity of silence and gentleness, a rare show that rewards the nights spent in a bivouac.
After the Roman causeway and once on the mainland, we'll cross the olive groves of Zarzis to stop in the middle of a salt lake. After the Tataouine market, a hike to discover the Berber villages of Chenini; after lunch, head towards Ksar Ghilaine; swimming and free time followed by a camel ride. Sunset at the Zemla camp, surrounded by a sea of fine, ocher sand. The next morning, we head towards Matmata to visit a cave house, then have lunch at the Sidi Driss Hotel, a Star Wars movie set. Photo stop in Toujen, another Berber mountain village, and drop-off in Djerba
