Ephesus rises like a phoenix from the ashes. This exquisitely preserved Greek and Roman city on the banks of Turkey is a testament to ancient civilizations, and a gem of historical relevance.

Today you can explore Ephesus and its ruins on a fun and informative tour that will open up a world of grandeur, intrigue and mystery to you and your family. This walk through the ancient city brings you to the Grand Theatre, a stunning amphitheater that once held 44,000 spectators. Stand on the stage and imagine what it must have been like to perform here 2,000 years ago.

Then you'll head on to the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Today you can let your imagination wander to what this temple might have once looked like. Then, see the Library of Celsus, a reconstructed library that once held 12,000 scrolls and was exceeded in size only by the Library of Alexandria.

After walking through town, we'll stop for a tasty Turkish lunch and then head to the House of the Blessed Virgin, the final resting place for the mother of Jesus. Nearby we can also explore the Basilica of St. John, which was built in the 6th century over the site of the Apostle's Tomb.
