Dear guests, we're starting our Sümela Package Tour, one of the most impressive and historical tours in Northern Turkey, by welcoming you at our meeting point.
After arriving in Maçka district, we'll first get our tickets and explore our first stop, Sümela Monastery, up close. Sümela Monastery is one of the symbols of the Black Sea Region, surrounded by mountains and located on high cliffs in the middle of valleys. This magnificent structure, built during the Byzantine Empire in the 400s AD, is of great importance both religiously and architecturally. During our visit, we'll discover the frescoes, historical murals, and magnificent views inside the monastery.
We'll also witness how nature has impressively shaped itself around the cliffs where the monastery was built.
After the magic of Sumela Monastery, we're off on another adventure in nature. In Hamsiköy, you'll find peace in the tranquility of nature and have the opportunity to taste Hamsiköy Sütlaç, one of the village's famous traditional tastes.
Our next stop is the fascinating Karaca Cave. The stalactites, stalagmites, and colorful stones inside show how special the cave is. Also, Karaca Cave's air has become a well-known place for asthma patients with its microclimate feature. This feature makes the cave a special place to visit, not only for its beauty, but also for its health benefits. We'll explore this natural wonder by taking a journey into the depths of the cave.
