Description

Walking trips were the very first and most pure form of the safari. In fact, there is no better way to experience the “African bush” than on foot.
Day 1: Transfer & Rhino Tracking - Murchison Falls National Park
On arrival at the airport, you will transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Our first stopover will be at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking. The trek can take anything from a few minutes to an hour depending on where the Rhinos are located within the sanctuary. You will receive a briefing from the ranger guide and start on your Rhino trek thereafter. After this experience, you will have lunch and then proceed to the national park where you arrive later that evening. On arrival at your exclusive camp, you will check-in and prepare for the sundowner experience at Nyamsika Viewpoint with spectacular views.
Accommodation: Nyamsika Wilderness Camp Meal plan: Half board

Day 2: Walking Safari & Game Drive – Murchison Falls National Park
Early breakfast at 6:30 am. Morning walk toward Te Okot. Terrain is quite open and slightly hillier with some gullies and some Borassus Palms. Good chance to see a parade of elephants, and variety of antelopes especially in the dry season. Early lunch around 12 pm, followed by siesta to relax and soak in the wilderness. You will take on an afternoon game drive exploring the park. The Park has different tracks where you are able to drive and enjoy both the vegetation and the variety of animals. The game drive will go on until 5pm before you return back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Accommodation: Nyamsika Wilderness Camp Meal plan: Full board

Day 3: Walking Safari & Boat Trip - Murchison Falls NP
After your early morning breakfast, you will take on a morning longer walking safari to the River Nile (4-5 hrs). Sandals are recommended for some wading through shallow warm water of the Victoria Nile. This riverbed is frequented by variety of wildlife from waterbuck, buffaloes, kobs, hartebeest, elephants; and an occasional hyena. Lots of footprints to observe. The boat will be waiting for us at the end of the walk to take us on a 2-hour boat safari to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls and back. Packed lunch on the boat. Return to your camp late afternoon for relaxation.
Accommodation: Nyamsika Wilderness Camp Meal plan: Full board

Day 4: Top of the Falls & Transfer to Entebbe International Airport
After a relaxed tasty breakfast, you will have another spectacular walk around Nyamsika riverbed (1.5-2 hrs) before you embark on your long drive to Entebbe airport en-route the top of Murchison falls to witness how the wide Nile is forced into a 7-meter gap to a thunderous roar – known as the most powerful falls. There is a resident beautiful rainbow formed making a contrast with the crashing water. After the experience, we shall continue with our journey to Entebbe airport for your outbound flight.
