Trek through Mgahinga to see mountain gorillas, track golden monkeys, and immerse yourself in the culture of the Batwa people. Enjoy a local coffee experience and a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi.
Begin your adventure with a morning pickup and a stop at the Equator landmark. Continue to Biharwe for a short hike to the Eclipse monument, followed by lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre. Enjoy an aerial view of Lake Bunyonyi before heading to Kisoro, with a stop at Mt. Muhavura volcanoes viewpoint.
Check in to Ichumbi Hotel and rest up for the next day’s activities. After breakfast, head to Mgahinga National Park for a gorilla trekking experience. Receive a trekking certificate from the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
In the evening, visit Karunga viewpoint for a sunset view of Lake Mutanda and the Virunga ranges. The next day, experience the Batwa trail, learning about the Batwa people’s traditional way of life. In the afternoon, enjoy a local coffee experience, from garden to cup, and take home a coffee souvenir.
On the final day, trek to see the golden monkeys in Mgahinga National Park. Spend some time learning about these beautiful creatures and the conservation efforts to protect them. After the trek, relax at Lake Bunyonyi before heading back to Entebbe.
