Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe & Transfer to Kibale National Park
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to Kibale National Park (6-7 hours). Optional Bigodi Wetland Walk: Explore this sanctuary, famous for its diverse birdlife and monkeys like the black-and-white colobus and red-tailed monkeys. This peaceful walk allows you to witness Uganda's unique biodiversity.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk
Chimpanzee Trekking: Early morning trek through the dense forest of Kibale, where you’ll search for wild chimpanzees— Uganda’s closest relatives. Spend 1-3 hours observing their social behaviors and interactions in their natural habitat. Bigodi Wetland Walk: This serene walk offers a chance to observe an array of bird species, such as the Great Blue Turaco, as well as monkeys like blue monkeys and L'Hoest’s monkeys.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (2.5 hours): Enjoy scenic views as you travel toward this wildlife haven. Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise: This boat cruise provides close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and elephants along the shores. A paradise for birdwatchers, the channel is home to hundreds of bird species, including pelicans and herons.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Game Drive & Transfer to Murchison Falls
Morning Game Drive: Head out early for a game drive in the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Watch for elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species as you drive through the park’s stunning landscapes. Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park: Enjoy a scenic 5-6 hour drive to Murchison Falls, one of Uganda’s largest and most famous parks.
Day 5: Murchison Falls Game Drive & Boat Cruise
Morning Game Drive: Enjoy a game drive in the Delta and Buligi regions of Murchison Falls National Park. Look for giraffes, buffaloes, and lions in the park's expansive savannah. Murchison Falls Boat Cruise: Cruise along the Nile River to the base of the spectacular Murchison Falls. Experience the raw power of the falls, while spotting hippos, elephants, and various waterbirds like the African fish eagle.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home, marking the end of your exciting adventure. If you have a night flight, you can return via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an unforgettable rhino tracking experience, where you walk on foot to see the majestic white rhinos up close under the guidance of an experienced ranger, have lunch before transferring to the airport.
