Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi National Park.

Your safari will start from Kampala where you will be picked up by your Driver/Guide who will brief you about your tour and then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda harboring over 500 of them, more reason as to why it should be your safari destination.

The drive will take you southwest Uganda by road, cross the Equator for impressive photography then to Mbarara for Lunch at the Igongo Cultural center, Visit the museum.

The scenic drive through Kigezi Highlands [commonly referred as “the Switzerland of Uganda”] and banana plantations take you to the gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi NP.
You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and will mainly do little but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transferring to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is remarkable! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.
The time is taken, and the terrain varies with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored.

Return to your lodge. Have your lunch and thereafter check out for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Day 3: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After having your early breakfast, you will check out of your accommodation with the memories of the gorilla tracking involvement and you are off for your Uganda wildlife safari to Queen Elizabeth. The journey to Queen Elizabeth will take you through as you experience the tree climbing lion sector of Ishasha en-route as you proceed to the lodging of your choice in Ishasha or around the Mweya part of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride or boat cruise at Kazinga channel. The channel is a home to many birds seen in the middle of the boat cruise, school of hippopotamus, buffaloes, and warthogs.

Nothing like the swarms of pelicans on the shore, birds flying all over the channel and the boat takes you slowly as you take your Uganda wildlife pictures along the shores. A rewarding game viewing in the afternoon, to say the least.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park game drive & After noon chimpanzee tracking

In the morning, you will have breakfast at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth Park then you shall go for a game drive. While on the game drive, you will watch wildlife on their way back from the night hunt and these will include lumbering elephants, lions, and running warthogs with tails raised up. Remember, Queen Elizabeth offers stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains.

In the afternoon, you will set out to look for the chimpanzees in the kyambura gorge forest and experience an unforgettable experience. Trekking might take 2 to 3 hours of which it is based on the location of chimpanzees. In the process of seeing chimpanzees, you will also be able to see different birds, monkeys like the black and white colobus, grey cheeked Mangabey, golden monkeys among others, and various tree species as you walk through the forest.

Day 5: Hiking the Rwenzori mountains.

After the taking your breakfast, ready with all the hiking pack list, you will embark on a full day hike to mount Rwenzori.The mountains of the moon offer a thrilling first-class hiking and mountaineering that gives beyond extraordinary experience to visitors on their hiking safari to Uganda.
The Hikers on mount Rwenzori can have short or long trips depending on one’s interests with an even day tour possible.

The mount Rwenzori hike takes you through a variety of vegetation types ranging from tropical rainforest through alpine meadows to snow. These vegetation types harbor a medley of wildlife including baboons, monkeys, antelopes, bush backs, and birds like the Rwenzori turraco that are good for sightseeing while climbing to the top summit.
Hiking the mountain ranges offers beautiful scenic views of the surroundings, bird watching, and wildlife viewing such as primates like monkeys, baboons and sightseeing.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After a luxurious breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo, the smallest National Park in Uganda. This is an easy to explore park, yet it has a lot of fascinating features you do not want to miss during your Uganda safari.
On arrival in the park, continue for lunch at any hotel or lodge of your choice as you proceed along the park trails you will spot various animals such as the elands, warthogs, buffaloes, zebras, and waterbucks. In the evening you will have a boat ride along the lake where you will have a great time having a chance to see different animals like the crocodiles, hippos, topis and birds like the fish eagles.

Day 7: Transfer to Kampala

Have an early morning breakfast and start off the game drive through the Park, it takes 3 hours. This will give you an amazing glimpse of the Savannah and the 5 lakes. You will also see various animals such as buffaloes, antelopes, zebras, hyenas, topis, hippos, also not forgetting the different bird species on the acacia trees and near the lake making beautiful sounds.

After the game drive check out and head to Kampala, having a stopover in Masaka for lunch and also at the Equator for another great opportunity for photos as you proceed to Kampala reaching in the late afternoon.
