Description
Explore Murchison Falls and Lake Mburo National Parks on a 6-day safari tour. Enjoy game drives, a boat cruise on the Nile, and a walking safari in Lake Mburo.
Begin your adventure with a warm welcome at Entebbe International Airport. Head to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a thrilling rhino tracking experience.
Arrive at the park and visit the top of the falls, where you can get close to the rushing whitewater and see rainbows in the mist.
After an early breakfast, set off for a morning game drive. Spot lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, and more. Enjoy bird watching and sightseeing across the savannah, woodland, and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert delta. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a three-hour boat cruise on the Nile. Admire the falls from the bottom angle and see hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds along the river. After the cruise, go for an evening game drive.
The next day, enjoy breakfast before heading back to Kampala. Check in and relax at your lodge. After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park.
Although it isn't a classic Big Five destination, Lake Mburo National Park hosts a varied selection of African wildlife, including several iconic species not found elsewhere in western Uganda.
The park’s acacia-swathed slopes and valleys are home to giraffe, zebra, buffalo, impala, waterbuck, bushbuck and various other grazers and browsers. Hippos, crocodiles and aquatic birds thrive in an extensive network of lakes and other wetlands.
On arrival in Lake Mburo National Park, you will have an evening game drive.
This is when temperatures cool, the light becomes softer and the wildlife begins to get active. Not only will you be out when the light is best for taking photos, but it's also one of the best times of day for seeing the animals.
Dinner and overnight at Hyena Hill Lodge.
Have an early breakfast; head out for the morning walking safari in the park. A walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park is a magical way to experience the bush trails of the park.
Come with us on a walking safari, where you'll enjoy the thrill of stepping out into the African wild with an experienced guide. It's very safe, and it's a priceless opportunity to feel really connected to the animals
After the walking safari, you will go for the drive bicycle safari (biking in the Lake Mburo National Park), or horse riding.
After a biking safari, if time allows, you will go horse riding at Mihingo Lodge. Both these are optional activities payable at the location.
Mihingo lodge(luxury) is the only lodge in Lake Mburo that offers bicycle and horse riding safaris and it is a few minutes drive from your lodge.
After the morning activities, you will head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Overnight at Hyena Hill Lodge.
The day begins with a delightful breakfast after which you prepare to be driven back to the Entebbe Airport for your scheduled flight back home. You will have a stopover at the Equator in Masaka, see where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres.
