From Entebbe/Kampala: 3-Day Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Tour

Embark on a 3-day gorilla trekking and cultural tour from Entebbe or Kampala. Trek through Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to see mountain gorillas and visit the Batwa community.
Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, your driver-guide will collect you from your hotel or agreed location in Entebbe or Kampala. Begin the scenic journey southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs and a brief demonstration before continuing through rolling hills, rural villages, and the beautiful landscapes of western Uganda. Lunch will be served along the way.

Arrive in Bwindi in the evening, check in at your lodge, and enjoy dinner while preparing for the following day’s gorilla trek.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then enter Bwindi’s ancient rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.

The trek can take between two and seven hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you find them, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing their behavior, interactions, and daily life in their natural habitat.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. Later in the afternoon, visit the Batwa community for an immersive cultural experience. Learn about their traditional forest lifestyle, medicinal plants, hunting techniques, music, dance, and storytelling. The visit also supports community livelihoods and cultural preservation.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Bwindi – Return to Entebbe/Kampala

Enjoy breakfast before beginning the return journey to Entebbe or Kampala. Travel through the scenic countryside, with a lunch stop along the way.

Arrive in Entebbe or Kampala in the evening and transfer to your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, depending on your onward travel arrangements.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
