Description

Explore Murchison Falls and Semuliki National Parks on a guided tour from Kampala. Enjoy a game drive, a Nile River cruise, and a trek to the Sempaya Hot Springs.
Start your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Kampala. Head north to Murchison Falls National Park, driving through the famous Luwero Triangle. Stop for lunch at Kabalega Dinners before proceeding to the park.

En route, visit the top of the falls to see where the Nile explodes to become a placid river with rainbow colors. Enjoy the view and sounds of the world’s most powerful waterfall and take pictures and videos to keep the memories alive. Later, head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

The next day, have breakfast at 6:00 AM and then head out for an early morning game drive. Drive through the northern bank of the park in search of various animals including elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, lions, leopards, giraffes, hartebeests, and a variety of bird species.

Go for lunch at noon and then drive to Red Chill for a two-hour launch cruise on the Nile up to the substructure of the Murchison Falls. Along the banks of the river, you may have an opportunity to see the amazing hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. After the boat, go back to the lodge for relaxation and sightseeing around the lodge. Have dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

On the third day, wake early for breakfast and then prepare to check out of the lodge. Get ready to travel to Fort Portal. As you drive through the countryside, enjoy the remarkable landscapes, traditional homes, and glimpses of the different striking bird species. Stop for lunch in Fort Portal Town. Continue to your lodge. In the evening, relax, have dinner, and have an overnight stay at your lodge.

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Semuliki National Park. Meet the park guides and set out to trek the Sempaya Hot Springs trail. Watch out for monkeys and birds along the trek. The springs eject boiling geysers 2 meters into the air. The pool boils at 103oC and to experiment with the hotness of the water you will place eggs in the boiling water and indeed within 10 minutes they will be ready to eat.

Afterward, return from the hot springs trek that will last at least 2 hours. Then, go to Fort Portal town for lunch. Transfer to Mabere ga Nyina Mwiru. The Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru is a very significant tourist attraction and cultural site for the Batoro people. It carries a remarkable history and it is surrounded by remarkable vegetation that will take your breath away. From there, hike the Kyeganya hill to see the 3 crater lakes. After an incredible excursion, return to your lodge for a dinner and overnight stay.

On the final day, wake up early for breakfast and then prepare to check out of the lodge. Head back to Kampala. Have lunch in Mubende and then proceed to Entebbe.
