Description

Join a 2-hour hands-on chocolate-making experience at Moonbean Chocolate in Kampala. Taste fresh cocoa pods, explore a cocoa garden, and make your own chocolate bar to take home.
Uncover the secrets of chocolate making in this immersive, farm-to-bar workshop.

Begin with a tasting of the raw cocoa pod, followed by a walk through a lush cocoa garden where you'll learn about the stages that take place at the farm level. Then, head into the processing room to delve deeper into the post-harvest journey of cocoa.

The hands-on part of the experience begins with selecting cocoa beans, followed by roasting, winnowing, and grinding. Make a rich and spicy Aztec-style chocolate drink, just like the ancient civilizations did. Afterward, temper the chocolate and pour it into molds—your very own creation to take home.

This intimate experience is ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers curious about the story behind their favorite treat. All materials, aprons, and ingredients are provided. The chocolate you make is yours to keep.
