Uganda: 3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Tour

Embark on a 3-day adventure from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Track gorillas, visit the Batwa community, and stand at the Equator on this unforgettable journey.
Day 1: Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or the airport by your driver guide. Receive a briefing about your trip and set off for your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the southwestern part of the country.

Have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. Make another stopover for lunch en route before continuing with your journey to Bwindi, arriving in the evening to check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Walk

Have an early morning breakfast and move to the park headquarters to join other trackers in a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules at 7:45 AM. Trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas, which can take you 1-8 hours.

The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access by tourists. Have one hour to stay with the gorillas once sited and later return to the lodge for lunch and relax. Later in the evening, go for a Batwa cultural walk experience before you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Bwindi to Entebbe

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, and check out of your lodge to transfer back to Kampala with lunch en route. Then, proceed to Entebbe Airport where you will catch your flight back home or be dropped off at your hotel depending on your program.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
