Experience the thrill of a 3-day safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spot the Big Five, cruise the Kazinga Channel, and trek with chimpanzees in Kalinzu Forest.
Begin your adventure with a breakfast at your hotel or residence. Meet your driver, who will brief you on the 3-day Queen Elizabeth Tour. Make a stop at the Uganda Equator along Masaka road, where you can stand in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Experiment with how water swirls in different directions in each hemisphere, take photos, and buy some beautiful souvenirs. Then, head straight to your lodge.
On the second day, start with an early game drive that exposes you to diverse animals, including the Big Five—elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and rhinos. In the evening, spot warthogs, hyenas, and many more species that are residents of this park. There is a rich birdlife, especially storks in the wetland spots, as you reach the flamingoes in the salt lakes at Kasenyi.
Enjoy a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel, a 36-kilometer channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward. See land and water-adapted hippos, Nile crocodiles, and warthogs. With your binoculars, have a magnificent view of birds and animals like the ever-playing African elephants in the water.
On the final day, go on a chimpanzee trek in Kalinzu Forest. Enjoy the walk through the forest and the fascinating meeting with the chimpanzees. After the trek, embark on the drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator and lunch in Masaka. Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the evening.
