Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping at the equator to stand with one foot on either side of the southern and northern hemispheres. Continue on for lunch in the town of Mbarara, then journey through rolling hills with tea plantations. Arrive at the lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening.
Start the next day with chimp trekking in Kalinzu Forest. Walk through the beautiful jungle and experience the excitement of seeing chimpanzees. Return to the lodge for lunch, then embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Spot a variety of animals such as elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and different bird species on the banks of the lake. After the boat cruise, return to the lodge for the night.
In the morning, head to Kyambura Gorge for a hike and bird watching. Enjoy private viewing of black and white monkeys, giant forest hogs, and red-tailed monkeys. Return to the lodge for lunch, then go for a game drive and visit the crater twin salt lakes. See wild game grazing, including crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs.
After breakfast, journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the gorillas. Pass through the Ishasha side of the park, known for tree-climbing lions, and proceed to Bwindi Forest. Enjoy the changing landscape as you climb towards the misty mountains of the gorillas. Spend the night at a lodge.
Start the day with breakfast, then set off for your gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the jungle to the point where the gorillas are, and spend one hour with them. After the trek, have lunch and head to the stunningly beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Spend the night at a hotel.
