Description

Indulge your senses on a private tour from Bath to Glastonbury, the Avalon Marshes, and a traditional cider farm. Explore the beauty of a nearby Nature Reserve and top the day off by sampling cider.
Glastonbury is a town steeped in Mystery and Legend. Visit the Abbey and climb the Tor to savour the panoramic views over the Somerset Levels.

The walking tour starts from the grounds of the impressive ruined Abbey, which is reputed to be the burial place of King Arthur. According to legend this is also where Joseph of Arimathea arrived with the Holy Grail to establish the first English Christian church.

Thereafter, take a leisurely stroll through the town, which is a New Age hangout full of quirky eclectic shops. Alternatively, climb the Tor with your guide. This iconic hill dominates the surrounding landscape and has been a spiritual magnet for centuries, for both Pagans and Christians. The views from the summit are breath-taking and the experience is unforgettable.

Enjoy lunch at a traditional country pub before continuing on to an internationally important RSPB Nature Reserve on the Avalon Marshes. Ham Wall is a wetland abounding with wildlife - from rare species like water voles and otters to magnificent birds like bitterns and kingfishers. Take time to follow secluded paths through the mystical landscape, where the extraordinary spectacle of the starling murmurations takes place during the winter months (November - March).

Unwind at the end of the day and be entertained by a local cider-making legend. Roger. He and his family have been producing “proper traditional cider” from their Somerset farm for more than a century. Sample his award-winning ciders and even some of his incredible cheeses.

This-door-to-door service will transport you through the English countryside and return you to Bath at the end of a memorable day.
