Welcome to Chester, famous for its city walls, Roman centre of Deva, the one-of-a-kind Rows and the oldest racecourse in England. The ancient city is one of the most culture-rich places in the UK with a history that fascinates and city so charming with beautiful and surprising things to view at every turn.
Explore the city centre of Chester and it's famous Rows and City Walls by unlocking a hidden trail. Find clues, solve puzzles & complete challenges, earning points along the way all self-guided through the Go Quest Adventures app. See the area's highlights, explore it's hidden gems and learn some insider history and fun facts along the way (even locals will discover something new!). Then find your team's place on the city's leaderboard.
As the Quest is self guided you can:
* Start your Quest whenever you want, get instant access with nothing to print off from home
* Go as fast as you want and try to top the leaderboard, or go at your own pace, stopping for rest breaks along the way.
Your Quest will wind you through the original streets of the once Roman city, seeing the wonders it has to offer, then through the beautiful gardens of Grosvenor Park and along the River Dee. As you find the clues and solve the puzzles, you will walk the famous walls, hear a ghost story or two and maybe even take part re-enacting events that took place thousands of years ago in Britain’s largest Roman amphitheatre.
So grab your toga, put on some comfy shoes and get ready to explore the sights, discover hidden gems and ultimately, conquer your Chester Quest!

One ticket includes up to 5 people
Suggested to bring pen & paper with you to help solve puzzles.
This is an outdoor activity, so wear appropriate clothing.
Although your Quest can be played anytime, we suggest daylight hours to find clues & solve puzzles
The Quest is 2.4 miles long and there are plenty of rest stops along the way
Time to complete depends on each group, but can take on average, 2.5 - 3.5 hours
Accessible for wheelchairs & prams with some detours for city walls (no puzzles missed)
Your Quest will be begin in front of the Chester Town Hall on Northgate Street across from Chester Cathedral (///thigh.moth.sobs). From there you will follow the instructions in the Go Quest Adventures App.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
