Welcome to Edinburgh’s New Town! Built between 1767 and 1850 as a response to overcrowding in the medieval Old Town, Edinburgh’s New Town has flourished and is a tribute to urban town planning with its elegant Neo-Classical architecture, grand squares, terraces and beautiful gardens.
Explore the streets of New Town as your team unlocks a hidden trail by finding clues, solving puzzles & completing challenges, earning points along the way all self-guided through the Go Quest Adventures app. See the area's highlights, explore it's hidden gems and learn some insider history and fun facts along the way (even locals will discover something new!).
As the Quest is self guided you can:
* Start your Quest whenever you want, get instant access with nothing to print off from home
* Go as fast as you want and try to top the leaderboard, or go at your own pace, stopping for rest breaks along the way.
Your Quest will take you on a journey back in time to an age of elegance but with an updated modern twist. Your Quest will begin with far reaching views across the city from Calton Hill then wind you through the Georgian streets and beautiful Princes Street Gardens ending at the iconic St Andrews Square. Along the way, you and your team will be involved in solving puzzles and completing challenges as you discover all that makes Edinburgh New Town the ‘Athens of the North’.

This is an outdoor activity, so wear appropriate clothing
One ticket includes up to 5 people
Although your Quest can be played anytime, we suggest daylight hours to find clues & solve puzzles
The Quest is 2.2 miles long. There are cafes and rest stops along the way
Time to complete depends on each group & number of rest breaks (or shopping sprees!), but can take on average, 2.5 - 3.5 hours
Your Quest will be played on an app that can be downloaded from the Apple or Google Play Stores
Your Quest will be begin at the top of Calton Hill off Regent Road. From there you will follow the instructions in the Go Quest Adventures App (so please ensure you have downloaded the app before you arrive).
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
