Description
Customise and create your very own Islander® Harris Tweed® handbag in a 60-minute workshop, led by our workshop instructors.
Customise and create your Islander Harris Tweed® Mini Satchel in our 1-hour experience at our Canongate workshop. Within your session you will create your very own Islander Handbag or Backpack by selecting the body colour of the bag, choose your favourite Harris Tweed® cloth lid, front straps, handle and long strap. Be as creative or safe as you want!
Once you have selected your different components, the host will take guests through the different steps to put the bag together.
Once everyone has completed their handbag, dust bags and carrier bags will be handed out for departure.
After your bag is finished, we encourage you to show off your creation outside our Islander Workshop under the floral entrance and share with the world, your very own Made in Scotland Islander Handbag, using Scotland's finest Harris Tweed®.

If you are more than 15 minutes late we may need to reschedule your session. Please note we cannot offer refunds if you are unable to attend.
The minimum age is 12 years old.
You can only make one bag per person, per session. If you would like to make another bag, please book in for a new session.
The workshop is up one flight of stairs and unfortunately there is not a lift.
Due to health and safety, we cannot accommodate young children in our workshop.
As much as we love our furry friends, only service animals are permitted inside.
Only registered carers are allowed to accompany individuals booked into the workshop.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your class start time to ensure you are ready and seated for class beginning.
Once you have completed your experience and created your bag, you cannot exchange the bag or request a refund.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
