Our popular enchanting history walk with an added Christmas sparkle! Learn about festive traditions alongside the history of Stratford-upon-Avon! We will all use LED candle’s during walk to add magic!
Our delightful historic tour of Stratford Upon Avon with an added Christmas sparkle. An LED candle will be given to every participant to use during the walk to add to the magic atmosphere - join me as we uncover Stratford’s hidden gems and look into how Christmas would be celebrated across the eras and including William Shakespeare’s time - as we trace his footsteps and visit locations in which he would’ve celebrated the festive period and bring the excitement of the bard’s town alive!

What to expect;

Meet your guide at the 800th anniversary swan fountain and set off on a walking tour of Stratford-upon-Avon. Stroll through the historic streets and learn about the town's fascinating past, which dates back to Roman times.
Discover the history of world-famous playwright William Shakespeare and see the properties associated with him, including his final resting place.
Soak in the atmosphere of Henley Street, where Shakespeare was born.
Learn how each era shaped the timeless ambience of the bustling town and its 'historic spine’. Hear stories and secrets about the town's past from your knowledgeable guide.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION & EVENT DETAILS:

- We will meet at 800th anniversary Swan Fountain in Bancroft Gardens - please note fountain may not have water in during winter months! Postcode CV376BA.

- Each Participant over the age of 3 years old will receive a candle to hold for the duration of the walk.

- The walk will last approximately 2 hours, this may vary depending on weather and numbers on the tour.

- Please wear comfortable/practical footwear as we may encounter some slippery surfaces due to weather conditions.

- The walk is fully wheel chair/mobility scooter & pushchair accessible!

- Please ensure you have the correct outerwear for the weather (to ensure your comfort).

- Well behaved dogs/pets welcome!

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
