Step into a resonant landscape of voices and light with Undercurrents, a new interactive art installation by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer at the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern.
This immersive experience transforms the cavernous space into an echoing chamber of sound, illumination, and memory, revealing how communication travels across time, space, and human relationships.

The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern is a former drinking water reservoir built in 1926 for the City of Houston. Buffalo Bayou Partnership restored and repurposed the 87,500-square-foot Cistern into a magnificent public space for tours, performances, and art installations.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to tour time for parking and check-in at the Visitor Center located at 105-B Sabine St. Houston, TX 77007.
Doors will close promptly at the beginning of the tour.
There is limited free parking adjacent to the Cistern and Sabine Street and additional parking is available in City Lot H, located at 1643 Memorial Drive, just to the east of Fonde Recreation Center.
Please check-in at the Visitor Center located at 105-B Sabine St. Houston, TX 77007.
Doors will close promptly at the beginning of the tour.
