Your reservation will be confirmed within 24-48 hours of booking. It is highly encouraged to make reservations as far in advance as possible during the holidays
You will be contacted by the activity provider to be assigned an exact sleigh ride time closest to the time slot you choose at booking
Horses are treated with the utmost respect, love, and care, they are large, strong horses and can pull sleighs with ease
The sleigh ride is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour
The total experience is 1.5 hours including shuttle time from the visitor center parking lot to the sleigh loading area and back
Blankets are not provided or sold, you are welcome to bring your own
Please dress warmly
Everything we do needs to be low impact on the refuge, therefore no pets of any kind are allowed as their scent can disturb the elk
We also do not allow food or drinks on board the sleigh for this same reason
Check in at the white trailer in the visitor center parking lot. From there, you will ride the shuttle down to where you load on the sleigh. New shuttles depart from visitor center parking lot every 20-30 minutes.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
