Only 1 Day to Raft? This scenic voyage has all the components of a classic river trip: great whitewater, spectacular and drastic geology, variety of wildlife, and remote wilderness canyons. This particular stretch of the Colorado River is wild and free flowing, resulting in a variety of water levels through the rafting season. The narrow canyon of 1.7 billion-year-old black schist rock is a sharp contrast to the red rock cliffs preceding and following the whitewater section. This is the most exciting 1 Day Whitewater trip near Moab, Utah.

Sample Itinerary
7:00 AM—Check-in at Sheri Griffith Expeditions Office
7:10 am: Pre-trip orientation
7:25 am: Depart for Westwater Canyon. There is a 2 hour drive to the launch point.
9:15 am: Arrive at the Westwater Boat Ramp, where we will put on PFDs (Personal Floatation Devices), have a safety discussion, and then board the boats and start our journey.
Mid-day--Stop for lunch at a beach beside the river. After lunch the guides will re-check the PFDs and go over important safety details and instructions for the whitewater.
3:00 PM*: Arrive at the Cisco boat ramp. The guides load the rafts onto the trailers.
3:30 PM*: Depart Cisco and return to Moab. The drive will take approximately 1.5 hours.
6:00 PM*: Arrive at the Sheri Griffith Expeditions office in Moab.
*Take-out and return times are approximate. Water Conditions, weather and other factors may lead to a later or earlier return time.
Meet at our office at 7:00 am.
Pick up at Red Cliffs Lodge Main Lobby at 7:45 am (Must be pre-arranged with our office).
Pick up at Sorrel River Ranch Adventures Office at 8:00 am (Must be pre-arranged with our office).
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
