Enjoy a culinary experience in the East Village, the birthplace of punk. Try great food as you explore this artsy neighborhood with an experienced guide.

Meet your guide outside Theater 80. Follow them through the heart of the East Village. Visit four restaurants for two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert, with a sprinkling of culinary history and stories in between.

For example, indulge in a savory fried selection of eight Pierogi filled with ingredients like sweet potato and arugula and goat cheese at a historic Ukrainian restaurant known as a local institution. Following this, enjoy duck croquette pintxo and manchego membrillo pintxo, or an off-menu homemade hot dog at a trendy Basque restaurant run by Chef Jonah Miller, star of the book Generation Chef.

Then, taste lobster knuckles escargot-style and fluke crudo with carrot puree and black sesame at a local oyster bar and East Village favorite. Finally, savor one of New York City’s best NY-style cheesecakes at a historic stained-glass frescoed Italian Bakery with coffee.

Proof of vaccination may include the NYC COVID Safe App, Excelsior Pass, CDC Vaccination Card (or photo), NYC Vaccination Record, or official immunization record from outside NYC or the US
In addition to proof of vaccination, all participants who are over 18 years old must present a government-issued photo ID (e.g. driver’s license, passport, etc)
Meet outside Theater 80. Your guide will be holding a sign that says “Your Culinary Experience Begins Here”.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
